Sony Entertainment Television’s India’s Got Talent has found its talented Top 6!
India’s Got Talent that premiered in July on Sony Entertainment Television has been successful in presenting to the viewers some of the most unique and unmatched talents from every nook and corner of the country! Hosted by the effervescent Arjun Bijlani and judged by the eminent personalities from the entertainment industry – Kirron Kher, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Badshah, the most loved talent reality show, India’s Got Talent has finally found the top 6 finalists.
The show that truly defined ‘Vijayi Vishwa Hunar Humhara’’ found its Top 6 finalists in – Bollywood hip-hop dancers, Zero Degree from ‘Aamchi’ Mumbai, Aerial Malkhamb group Abujhmad Malkhamb Academy from Chhattisgarh, the iconic dance group Golden Girls from Kolkata, ‘Acro dancers’ The ART (Abhishek from Uttar Pradesh, Rahul from Jaipur, and Tejas from Mumbai), Indian Classical Fusion Band – Raaga Fusion (Jayant Patnaik – Ludhiana, Ajay Tiwari – MP, Amritanshu Dutta – Patna and Harshit Shankar – Patna), and the power packed band, Mahila Band from Nagaland.
Coming from a small place in Chhattisgarh the Abujhmad Malkhamb Academy proved that with hard work and determination, nothing is impossible. The group blew everyone’s mind with their Malkhamb acts using poles that made the judges go, ‘WOW’. Not only this but Kirron Kher and Badshah who were highly impressed with their journey on the show also promised to fund their academy to encourage this art form. Shedding light on the journey and expressing their happiness on reaching the finals, group leader Manoj shares, “Being in the top 6 of India’s Got Talent is a dream that has turned into reality! The journey has been filled with hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of the entire nation. We can’t put into words how grateful and ecstatic we are to stand on this grand stage. It feels surreal that a city is known by your name, and this platform has helped us leave a mark for our city on the world map. Proving ‘Aaj Ki Naari, Sabse Bhaari,’ the women Forest Reserve Officers, popularly known as Mahila Band from Nagaland, stunned everyone when they walked in uniform for the audition round. Their spectacular rock and funk musical performances each week ensured that the judges and celebrity guests joined them on the dance floor to groove along with them. Talking about their journMahila Band, shares, “Being a part of the force, we work hard for the nation and our families. Through India’s Got Talent, we got the opportunity to showcase our talent nationwide. It’s like a dream come true to be in the top 6, and hearing the judges, especially Badshah, express their love for our singing each week is incredibly fulfilling. We hope to win the trophy and make the nation proud, proving that women can manage their homes, work, and pursue their passions if they choose to.”
Known for their back-to-back innovative and mesmerising dance performances, the Golden Girls, a group of 40 members caught everyone by surprise with their formations. The crew’s performances over a period not only left the judges awestruck but also the celebrity guests! Reminiscing their journey, Suman from Golden Girls shared, “This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions, from the first audition to this glorious finale. We’ve poured our heart and soul into every performance, and today, we stand before you, not just as a finalist, but as a symbol of the limitless possibilities that talent and perseverance can unlock on this prestigious platform. We want to thank each one of you who has supported us on this incredible journey.”
Coined as ‘chota packet, bada dhamaka’, Bollywood hip-hop dancers Zero Degree from Mumbai have not only won the judges heart but also gathered the love of millions of viewers. Impressing the judges and celebrity guests’ week on week, the group has always managed to present their unique talent differently and rightfully reaching the ladder of the Grand Finale! Talking about their journey, the group’s former Mohammad Mohsin says, “Reaching the grand finale of India’s Got Talent is a dream come true for all of us in Zero Degree. Taking part in this competition was a huge step outside our comfort zone as initially, we used to just perform for our family and friends. When we first auditioned, we never imagined we would make it this far. Each round we progressed through gave us more confidence in our talent and our abilities as a team. We want to inspire other young people to follow their dreams and work hard to achieve their goals. Winning would change our lives forever, but we already feel like winners just being here. No matter what happens next, we will never forget the joy we have felt on this incredible journey.”
Impressing the judges with their gravity-defying dance moves and acrobats, ‘Teen jism ek Heart’ – The ART (Abhishek – Uttar Pradesh, Rahul – Jaipur, and Tejas – Mumbai) raged on the platform, winning judge Shilpa Shetty’s heart. Their stunning acrobatic moves made Shilpa stand on the judge’s panel to praise them more times than many! Not only this, the trio also made sure to deliver a message through their acts each week. Expressing their excitement of making it to the Top 6, group member Tejas Dhumankhede shared, “This still feels unreal; we all started practising 15 days before giving the audition. Our group name was given by Shilpa Shetty Kundra ma’am and reaching here on Top 6 is unbelievable. We had a series of ups and downs but we never gave up. India’s Got Talent has given us a new identity and stage for us to explore, and showcase our talent to nationwide. We hope we win the trophy and make everyone proud.”
Raaga Fusion (Jayant Patnaik – Ludhiana, Ajay Tiwari – MP, Amritanshu Dutta – Patna and Harshit Shankar – Patna) paved their way into the finale with their unique fusions. With each passing week, the group fused songs with a classical touch and created music using things like plants or bottles as instruments. Elaborating more about their journey, group member Ajay says, “We want to thank India’s Got Talent for giving us this opportunity and for bringing out the best in us. Reaching the grand finale means we have touched the hearts of the many people who voted for us.
