SOTTO J&K organises poster making activity at Department of Applied Art, Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA)
Jammu: To spread awareness regarding Organ Donation among people, State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K, in collaboration with Department of Applied Art, Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu, organised a poster making activity on the topic ‘”Donate Organs and Save lives” on Friday.
During the activity 25 students from the department participated and gave a beautiful message of saving lives by donating organs by their creativity. They also pledge to donate their organs after death and motivated others also.
Dr. Shohab Malik, Principal IMFA, lauded the efforts of government to start such initiative. He said that NO GIFT IS BIGGER THAN THE GIFT OF LIFE.
Rakesh Sharma, HOD, Department of Applied Arts said ‘we can help a generation by organ donation and it is a noble cause to save someone’s life and bring happiness in their life.’ He said that ‘our department is always ahead for bringing social awareness among masses.’
Prof. Dr. Amarjeet Singh expressed happiness to be a part of the great initiative of Government of India. He motivated others to donate organs so that someone can live a happy life. Various myths regarding Organ Donation were cleared on the occasion.
Vaanika Sharma, faculty member, Anshu Sharma, Consultant Media/IEC (SOTTO J&k) and Irfan lone, transplant coordinator, (SOTTO J&K) were also present on the occasion.
