Daniel Kutmanov, a student of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Computer Science in software engineering, is a volunteer and organizer of a youth initiative dedicated to helping children with disabilities.
We had activities where the children practiced basketball and volleyball, which helped them get away from their daily lives through sports. GPA and social achievements were taken into account in the selection process for Polytechnic. When I came to Peter, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very beautiful city, I like it here. I was also impressed by Polytechnic University’s reputation, I am glad to be in one of the best international universities in Russia

All the lecturers have a unique style. Some use interactive methods, engaging students in discussions and group projects, which promotes a deeper understanding of the topic. Others prefer a traditional approach, emphasizing lectures and theoretical aspects. Their passion for the subject and desire to inspire students creates an atmosphere of trust and openness where we can freely share our thoughts and ask questions

Studying was stressful at first, because our knowledge is different from the level of training of polytechnics. The training programs in St. Petersburg start with what we learn only by the end of the second year. But over time we started to adapt and build up our schedule so that we could catch up with our classmates. St. Petersburg is an amazing city and our new friends give us tours. Now I feel part of this community and I am happy to have the opportunity to study here
