SPbPU and SCO Indian Business Council Chairman Discuss Prospects for Innovation

Chairman of the Indian Secretariat of the SCO Business Council, Executive Director of Texmaco RAIL & ENGINEERING Ltd, Adventz Group of Companies Tribhuvan Darbari visited Polytechnic University.

Adventz Group is an Indian conglomerate with global ambitions, which is involved in critical projects under the Make-in-India program initiated by the Prime Minister of India.

In spring, Polytechnic representatives participated in the Russian-Indian Education Summit, where they held preliminary talks with Mr. Darbari.

As part of his participation at SPIEF’24, the Chairman of the Indian Secretariat of the SCO Business Council visited Polytechnic University to familiarize himself with the scientific and technical base and achievements of our university.

Dmitry Arseniev, Vice-Rector for International Relations of SPbPU, and Tribhuvan Darbari held working talks where they discussed the main areas of cooperation: implementation of SPbPU technologies at industrial enterprises of Adventz Group of Companies, training and retraining of highly qualified specialists together with Indian universities and Russian industrial partners.

Dmitry Arseniev invited Tribhuvan Darbari to participate in the BRICS+ International Municipal Forum to be held in the fall of 2024 and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation.

Tribhuvan Darbari expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome at the Polytechnic University and emphasized the importance of developing partnerships between educational institutions and industrial companies.

After the meeting with the Vice-Rector, the Indian colleague visited a number of laboratories of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Transport, as well as held talks with representatives of IC «Center for Computer Engineering of SPbPU» and CNTI «New Production Technologies». During the meetings SPbPU specialists presented their developments in the field of technologies for the steel industry, new materials and digital modeling for solving problems of the railway industry, as well as innovative projects for agriculture.

Taking into account the economic priorities of modern India, all these solutions have significant potential for implementation in this country. For his part, Mr. Darbari expressed his readiness to promote SPbPU’s technologies both within Adventz Corporation and among the industrial partners of the group of companies.
