SPbPU Becomes Member of Jiangsu Province International Innovation Cooperation Network
The Second Jiangsu Conference on Industrial and Research Cooperation was held in Nanjing from September 11 to 12. More than 330 academicians, high-level experts participated in the event. More than 3,500 enterprises from Jiangsu Province and other regions in China presented their latest scientific and technological achievements. It was organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Jiangsu Provincial Productivity Improvement Center.
Polytechnic University was the guest of honor and participated in the conference as a renowned educational and research institution. Shi Bochao, manager of SPbPU’s Nanjing International Office, participated in the event on its behalf. She presented at the university’s booth technological projects in the field of new materials, environmental management and clean energy, solutions for creating cities of the future and digital transformation of industry — a total of more than 30 technologies developed by Polytechnic researchers.
SPbPU has become one of the members of the «Innovation Cooperation Network of the international technology transfer agency T2+20».

The network has brought together leading innovation development institutions and industrial enterprises in Jiangsu Province, as there are many high-tech growth areas in the province — Suzhou Industrial Park, High-Tech Development Zones in Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Kunshan, Wujing, Jiangyin and Nantong. Researchers from Polytechnic University will have access to all their facilities and technologies.
According to the results of the exhibition and conference, a number of high-tech companies from Jiangsu Province have shown interest in SPbPU’s projects. Thus, the innovative company Jiangsu Hengshen Co. specializing in production, research and development of carbon fiber and composite materials is interested in joint development of superstructural polymer composites. With Jiangsu USV Intelligent Technology and the Oceanic Institute of Northwestern Polytechnic University, cooperation in the development of information systems for smart surface transportation is being discussed. Agreements have been reached with Nanjing Glass Fibre Research and Design Institute on possible projects in the field of high-performance fiber composites.
By utilizing the opportunities of online and offline collaboration, Polytechnic University will increase the level of «industry-university-research» integration. It will improve the efficiency of S&T transformation and help Jiangsu Province establish an industrial S&T innovation center with international influence.
