SPbPU placed in top 3 of Russian universities in THE University Impact Rankings

The Times Higher Education (THE) ranking agency has published the results of the international TNE University Impact Rankings 2023. This year’s rankings include 1,591 universities from 112 countries, including 86 Russian universities.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University shares top three places with Kazan Federal University (KFU) and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (PFUR), with the overall ranking of global universities in the 201-300 group places. The ranking measures the contribution of universities to the socio-economic development of their countries through the prism of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN until 2030. SPbPU has applied for all 17 goals against which universities are evaluated and received ranking positions for all of them.

The Industrialization, Innovation and Infrastructure SDG was a success for Polytechnic University, in which the university took 88th place, rising by 12 lines from last year. Our university showed excellent results in the «Poverty Eradication» SDG, where, in comparison with the last year, it moved up by 4 positions and now ranks 83rd in the world and first in Russia. Polytechnic University is also first in Russia in the SDG «Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements.
