SPbPU: Polytechnic University and Tashkent State University of Economics are implementing a set of measures in the framework of scientific and educational partnership
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Tashkent State Economic University (Uzbekistan) have signed a road map for 2022-2023 and working plans for humanitarian and economic areas. The document provides for the implementation of a set of measures to strengthen and develop partnerships in science and education. Among them — development and implementation of network educational programs and double degree programs, activation of academic mobility, development of joint postgraduate programs, conducting research internships, professional development of teachers, etc.

The signing ceremony was held in the framework of the visit of the SPbPU delegation to Uzbekistan. On the Russian side, the Roadmap was signed by Dmitry Arseniev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and working plans for cooperation in humanitarian and economic areas were signed by Vladimir Shchepinin, director of the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade, and Natalia Chicherina, director of the SPbPU Institute of Humanities, respectively. On the part of Uzbekistan, the documents were signed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Mansur Eshov.

SPbPU and TSEU signed the Roadmap for 2022-2023
The program of SPbPU delegation visit to Uzbekistan continued with working group meetings, which were attended by heads of institutes and higher schools of Polytechnic University, heads and employees of specialized departments of TSEU. During the talks, the parties discussed specific details of the partnership. In the framework of cooperation development in the economic sector the participants signed the Protocol of Intentions with specific proposals for the implementation of the joint educational program in the field of «Tourism». Great interest was aroused by the possibility of a joint postgraduate program in «Economics» and «Tourism and Logistics». In addition, lists of invited professors to participate in academic mobility programs and read lectures were agreed.

It is enjoyable to note that during the working group negotiations we discuss actual plans and intentions, which will be implemented in the near future. Mutual interests of the parties, clear understanding of joint activities and readiness to immediately start implementing specific tasks will undoubtedly lead to successful results, commented Vladimir Schepinin.
Within the cooperation on humanitarian profile the sides discussed the possibility of creating a joint network educational program in the field of advertising and marketing, development of joint online courses, cooperation in the libraries as well as the publication of joint manuals, holding joint sections at conferences, which will contribute to achieving new results in cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.

The Institute of Humanities’ dense cooperation with TSEU began in 2018, when we implemented the ‘Communication Leadership’ professional development program. The heads of TSEU’s structural divisions came to this program.
