SPbPU Receives Award by Presidential Decree in Russia
On December 4, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding orders, medals and insignia, as well as on conferring honorary titles for services in various fields. Dmitry Arseniev, Vice Rector for International Affairs of SPbPU, is among the awardees. He was honored with the Order of Friendship.
Dmitry Arseniev was awarded for his merits in scientific and pedagogical activities, training of qualified specialists and many years of conscientious work.

, says Dmitry Arseniev. The Order of Friendship is a special sign in our difficult and stressful times. Indeed, for the past 30 years I, together with my colleagues, have been making every possible effort to develop international friendship ties and promote polytechnic education around the world. In these activities, I have constantly felt the support of the University and I am very grateful to the whole Polytechnic University and to many, many of my friends and colleagues. Thanks to our joint efforts, Polytechnic University today is a leader in building friendly ties with foreign partners

The Order of Friendship is a state award of the Russian Federation. It was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 2, 1994. The sign of the Order is a five-pointed star with an image of the globe, made of silver with gilding and enamel. The laurel wreath is decorated with rubies.
Also, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated November 23, 2023, the title of Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation for personal merits in the implementation of highly qualified pedagogical and scientific activities with the application of the latest educational standards and methods was awarded to Professor Yaroslav Berdnikov of the Higher School of Fundamental Physical Research of the Institute of Physics and Mechanics.
