SPbPU Showcases Expertise at International Assembly in Uzbekistan
The Graduate School of Legal and Forensic Engineering Studies of the SPbPU The Institute of Humanities has a long-standing partnership with institutions of the Uzbek Republic — the Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office (now the Law Enforcement Academy) and the Andijan State University (whose honorary professor and associate professor are Dr. Vitaly Snetkov, Doctor of Political Science, and Dmitry Mokhorov, Candidate of Law).
Taking into account the development of scientific and educational ties between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, Polytechnic University is also expanding international interaction with scientific and educational organizations of Uzbekistan.
The Council of Rectors of Andijan region of Uzbekistan represented by the Rector of Andijan Pedagogical Institute Professor Bakhtiyor Rasulov invited Polytechnic University to participate in the international assembly «Model lawmaking in science and education of CIS countries».
Teachers of St. Petersburg Peter the Great Polytechnic University and Andijan Pedagogical Institute made a report at the conference and published a scientific article «Gaming Technologies in the Formation of Legal Students’ Professional Competencies: Moot Courts», indexed in the international Scopus database.
Students Malika Kadamova and Sulaimon Kutlimuratov became prize-winners of the international tour to historical cities of Uzbekistan and received diplomas of the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan.
In the plenary session of the international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dmitry Mokhorov, Director of The Graduate School of Legal and Forensic Engineering Studies of the SPbPU The Institute of Humanities of SPbPU, made a report «Theory and practice of anti-corruption education in the system of higher education».
Participants of the working meeting of the Andijan Rectors’ Council discussed the problems of development of national identity of the CIS member states, the need for international legislative regulation of education, science and innovation in the post-Soviet space.
Achievements of the polytechnic in the field of law and forensic engineering expertise were demonstrated at the sites of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan and Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology. A master class on «Anti-corruption education in CIS countries» was held for students. The academic community and students were interested in Polytechnic’s innovative direction — forensic expertise and multidisciplinary research in the field of jurisprudence and expertise.
The visit resulted in an agreement between the Andijan Pedagogical Institute and SPbPU to launch an international network program of additional education «Anticorruption Education», which may become a precursor to the development of an international double-degree Master’s degree program.
