Special camps organised in Samba to facilitate SEHAT Golden Card registration
SAMBA ; Aiming to bring every citizen of district Samba under health care safety net, the State Health Agency (SHA), in collaboration with District Administration Samba, has organised special walk-in registration drives for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme at different locations across district Samba.
The walk-in drives are being organised at nine different block HQ locations in the district.
As per the Nodal Officer, the walk-in drives are being held at Ghagwal, Samba, Rajpura, Puramandal, Bari Brahmana, Sumb, Nud, Vijaypur and Ramgarh.
The drive will continue till 100% saturation of the target population is achieved.
“Our aim is to cover the entire population of Samba, under this AB-PMJAY-SEHAT scheme. Hence this special registration drive is being organized at different locations across Samba. We urge people to come forward and avail the golden card to get cashless healthcare access” added the official at a registration site.
The (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme is the world’s largest health insurance scheme fully financed by the government. This scheme provides a cover of Rs 500,000 per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. This ambitious health insurance scheme enables all residents of Jammu and Kashmir including employees and pensioners as well as their families to avail cashless quality health care services across public and private empanelled hospitals. The scheme envisions to mitigate expenditure on medical treatment to all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers up to 3 days of pre-hospitalization and 15 days post-hospitalisation expenses such as diagnostics and medicines. There is no restriction on the family size, age or gender. All pre-existing conditions are covered from day one.
