Special Task Force seizes 735 MT minor mineral from Makwal Village of Tehsil Mandal

Jammu: Special Task Force, constituted by the General Administration Department to check menace of illegal extraction of sand and other minor minerals from the Banks of River Tawi and its tributaries, today seized 735 MT of illegally mined Sand, Bajri and Bed Mix, here at Makwal Village of Tehsil Mandal during a surprise checking.

The STF conducted surprise check along the bank of River Tawi in border villages of Makwal, Sohanjana and Prahladpur of Tehsil Mandal and seized the huge loads of illegally extracted minor minerals and one JCB Machine.

Headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, (L&O), Jammu Ghansham Singh and comprising SP Head Quarter, Adil Hamid and DMO, Jammu, Ankur Sachdev, the STF seized 260 MT Sand, 100 MT C/Sand, 125 Mt C/Bajri and 250 MT Bed Mix and one JCB machine used for extracting the Minor Minerals for selling the same to Builders in the Market.

The seized material and JCB machine was handed over to I/C Police Post, Phallian Mandal for further proceeding.
