SPJIMR Successfully Hosts Supply Chain Practitioner’s Council Event on Emerging Digital Commerce Initiatives and Supply Chain Imperatives

 

Mumbai  – S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) successfully hosted the annual Supply Chain Practitioner’s Council (SCPC) event at its Mumbai campus. The event brought together industry experts, speakers, panel members, and participants to discuss the impact of emerging digital commerce initiatives on supply chain imperatives.

 

A keynote address by Prof. Shesha Iyer provided insights into the illustrious history of Bhavan and SPJIMR while emphasising key developments in the field of supply chain.

 

Under the theme of “Emerging digital commerce initiatives and supply chain imperatives,” the event provided a platform for insightful discussions and valuable insights. The panel discussion explored the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving digital landscape. Industry leaders, including Ms Nemisha Ghia, COO of More Retail, Mr Santosh Rao, Partner and Executive Director-India-South Asia at IBM iX, Mr Dhritiman Chakraborty, CSCP, Director Operations at Ingram Micro India Limited, Mr Sameer Jain, VP of Supply Chain at Jio, Mr Swapnil Shah, Founder of Freight Tiger, and Mr Manish Gupta, Founding Partner at Kuiper Solution, shared their expertise and experiences.

 

 

Prof. Sheila Roy from SPJIMR delivered a keynote address focusing on the impact of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) on business practices. Prof. Roy provided valuable insights for understanding ONDC, its potential applications, use cases and roadmap for the future.

 

The event also featured a hackathon sponsored by Henkel, where SPJIMR students showcased their skills and innovative ideas, contributing to the ongoing digital transformation in the supply chain industry.
