Sports Minister of Goa lauds Vedanta for setting up computer lab. at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Khandola
Khandola : The Hon’ble Minister of Sports, Art & Culture, and Rural Development Agency, Shri Govind Gaude inaugurated computer lab. set up by Vedanta’s Value-Added Business (VAB) at Govt. higher secondary school, Khandola, in the distinguished presence of Shri. Saptesh Sardesai, CEO, VAB, Vedanta Limited, Ms. Leena Verenkar, Group CSR Head – Vedanta Limited, Shri. Vishant Naik, Sarpanch, Village Panchayat, Betki -Khandola along with school faculties, Admin staff, students, and officials from Vedanta. In order to promote digital learning and computer education across the Goa, this is the 4th computer lab set up by Vedanta in the state.
The computer lab initiative will benefit 657 students at Govt. Higher secondary school, Khandola whereas Vedanta’s computer education and digital learning programs have reached out to over 2000+ students & youth across the Goa state. The various CSR initiatives by Vedanta’s VAB under the aegis of Anil Agarwal Foundation were highly appreciated by School authorities and other dignitaries present during the event.
Appreciating Vedanta’s CSR initiative, Hon’ble Minister of Sports, Art & Culture & Rural Development Agency, Shri. Govind Gaude stated ” I thank Vedanta on behalf of Govt. of Goa for setting up the computer lab at Govt. Higher Secondary school at Khandola. Education is one of the major thrust areas and Vedanta has been consistently contributing towards the same. As this is the fourth lab, Vedanta have set up, and they know how to shoulder the responsibility and move ahead in this direction. I thank the management and all those who have always supported the student community in all aspects.”
