Sports Week concludes at Malappuram Centre

Aligarh : The Sports Week at the Malappuram Centre of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) concluded with the B. Ed team emerging champions after defeating the Law team in the cricket tournament.

MBA (final year) team triumphed in the volleyball event with a win over the team of BA LLB (third year) students.

Fauzia Parween (B.Ed second year) won the Girls singles Badminton tournament, Malik Mohammad Usaid (BALLB third year) succeeded in the Boys Singles fixture, MBA students Md Imdad Ullah and Mohd Saif won the Boys Badminton doubles, Anshul and Manu Varshney carried the day in the Table Tennis Doubles and Manu Varshney also won the Table Tennis singles.

In other events, B.Ed team defeated the Law team in the Girls Tug of War event, while the MBA (second year) team defeated BA LLB (first year) in Boys Tug of War. The B. Ed team won the football tournament, BA LLB (fourth year) students succeeded in the BasketBall final, Gagan Saraswat won the Chess championship and Shahroz Tariq emerged victorious in the Carrom contest.

Dr Faisal K P (Director, Malappuram Centre) inaugurated the sports week.

A friendly cricket match was also played between the teams of teachers and students.
