SRCC hosted India’s largest undergraduate management festival AMDBusiness Conclave

 

New Delhi:The three-day SRCC Business Conclave 2019 started in Delhi from 14 February. The annual event of Sri Ram College of Commerce, one of the largest undergraduate management festivals in India, took place from 14-16 February. The event had a galaxy of speakers address the gathering. Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Suresh Prabhu and SmritiIrani, actress SwaraBhaskar, and CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi, among others, spoke on the occasion.

The annual event which has been held since 2008 had also provided undergraduates a platform to present their ideas in the areas of finance, commerce and economics.

Others who addressed the gathering include Acharya Balkrishna, Anil Rai Gupta, Abhishek Upmanyu, SanjayaBaru, Brinda Karat, Prashant Bhushan, Navtej Singh Sarna, CS Ghosh, and VikramLimaye.

Speaking at the session, SmritiIrani said “Our government has taken several initiatives such as the Rs 6,000-crore package to apparel manufacturers, 1.3 crore homes built by the present government, 1.7 crore capital assets built across the country by the present government through MNREGA and plan of building 1 lakh well-ness centres across the country to counter the lack of job creation narrative.”

In the past, the SRCC Business Conclave has been graced by industry leaders such as MukeshAmbani, Adi Godrej, Gautam Adani, Naina Lad Kidwai and many others. PM Narendra Modi, former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, ArunJaitley, Pranab Mukherjee and Venkaiah Naidu have also addressed the event in the past.
