Sri Sri University to conduct Mega Meditation Camp led by Mrs Bhanumati Narasimhan

Cuttack: Smt. Bhanumathi Narasimhan (fondly known as Bhanu Didi), sister of Poojya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji and author of the bestseller biography, ‘ Gurudev: On the Plateau of the Peak: The Life of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’ , is to pay a three day visit to Sri Sri University, Cuttack, Odisha from 18th Dec to 20th Dec,2018.

During her visit, she will be conducting a Meditation Program and knowledge sessions. The Sahaj Samadhi Meditation program will be conducted in the morning from 7am to 9am and in the evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. On 20th Dec, she will grace a public satsang followed by knowledge session at Sri Sri University.

There are a lot of researches conducted on the benefits of Sahaj Samadhi Meditation of The Art of Living. Some include, clear thinking, increased energy, better physical health, improved relationships and greater peace of mind. The program teaches an effortless and easy way to practice meditation. Anybody above fourteen years of age can learn to meditate and reap the benefits. The participant is taught to use a simple sound mentally, which allows the mind to settle down. As the mind reaches this meditative state, stress disappears, decision making is improved and people experience more clarity in life.

Smt. Bhanumati Narasimhan has taught these techniques in the many countries across the globe and is an internationally acclaimed Meditation Trainer. She is also the Chairperson of Women Welfare and Child Care programs of the The Art of Living, a not-for-profit, educational and humanitarian NGO engaged in bringing stress relief and service initiatives in 155 countries. Under her stewardship, “Gift a smile – Care-for- Children” project runs The Art of Living Free Schools in 20 States of India, providing free value-based, holistic education to over 67,000 underprivileged children from rural, tribal, and slum areas with a special focus on Girl Child education.

Smt. Bhanumathi is also the chairperson of the International Women’s Conference (IWC), with a vision to make a global connection of responsible women to catalyze positive transformation in society. She is also a singer with multiple album releases and an author. Her bestselling biography ‘Gurudev – On the Plateau of the Peak’ offers a glimpse into the life of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She has also authored three other books, Tejasvini and Lalitha that expound the spiritual significance and mystical meaning behind popular Hindu traditional scriptures and practices, and her latest release, a children’s book titled ‘Gods and Goddesses’.
In 2007, Bhanumathi was awarded the prestigious Sadguru Gnanananda National Award (India) for her unwavering dedication to social development and to women’s issues and in 2014 she was awarded the Rotary Award for Vocational Excellence for her work towards women empowerment. For her inspiring and far-reaching initiatives for empowering women and society, she was conferred the Women Economic Forum 2017 Award of “Women of the Decade in Community Leadership & Social Change.” She has also been conferred with the Nari Shakti Award – Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
