Srinagar Admin holds PM-JAY SEHAT Awareness/ Registration camp at GDC Bemina
Over 3.86 lakh Golden Cards distributed among beneficiaries so far
SRINAGAR : In order to ensure all citizens of the District Srinagar are covered under PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme, the District Administration Srinagar in collaboration with Common Service Centers SPV today organized an awareness cum registration camp at Government Degree College(GDC) at Bemina, here.
The Camp was organized on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad for mass awareness and mobilizing left out city population regarding PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme launched by the Government to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs. 5 lakh per family on a floater basis in convergence with Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
The Programme was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Gulzar Ahmad, while, Principal Govt. Degree College Bemina, Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, and other concerned besides, a larger number of beneficiaries attended the programme.
On the occasion, ADDC, Srinagar highlighted the importance of the Golden Cards and said the aim of organizing such programmes is to cover the left out eligible families of the district to ensure greater coverage with easy access to affordable healthcare facilities during health emergencies.
The District Coordinator CSC, Asrar Nazir informed that till date 3.86 lakh Golden cards have been issued in Srinagar district and process is going on to cover the left out targeted population.
