SSN Institutions and Shiv Nadar University Chennai Incubates Technological Talent and Innovation at 6th Edition of Annual Technology Festival, INVENTE 2022

Chennai  – SSN Institutions and Shiv Nadar University Chennai, recently concluded its annual technology fest, INVENTE ’22. The two-day intercollegiate fest was held at the campus and aimed at encouraging students to showcase their talent across a range of disciplines that they are passionate about. The fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from over two thousand students across both institutions, which are part of the Shiv Nadar Foundation. The goal was to display technical knowledge and innovation. The highlight of INVENTE was the Artificial Intelligence, Optics and Fintech workshop facilitated by industry professionals to provide skill development opportunities to students.

The chief guest at the event was Mr. Nandakumar Subburaman, CEO, Co-Founder of Perfint Healthcare Pvt Ltd. In his address, Mr. Subburaman highlighted the impact of technology in transforming the medical profession. He talked about new path-breaking innovations such as robotic surgery, as well as other exciting emerging technologies, which promise to bring futuristic change to this sector.

Dr. Kala Vijayakumar, President, SSN Institutions and Pro-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University Chennai said, “At the Shiv Nadar Foundation, we believe in a 360-degree approach to education. In addition to ensuring a sound grounding in academics, we also encourage our students to pursue excellence in their individual interests. INVENTE was conceptualized six years ago for SSN College of Engineering, and has now been introduced in Shiv Nadar University, Chennai as well. We are excited to see different innovative ideas and workable solutions from our students, that have been showcased here across events. A big thanks to our honoured chief guest, and a special mention to all the students for their enthusiastic participation. I am determined that we will continue to offer our students multi-dimensional platforms to showcase their talent and innovativeness.”

As part of INVENTE, ‘Hackinifinity’, the flagship 24-hour long hackathon at SSN College of Engineering was also held. It included students from Shiv Nadar University Chennai as well. It was concluded successfully with some of the winning hacks.

Invente was launched in 2016, aiming to create, sustain and elevate technology enthusiasts. It has evolved into an incubator of talent and innovation, allowing students to achieve early recognition for their talents.
