Vladimir Khizhnyak presented Polytech

We believe that it is necessary to unite the efforts of universities of BRICS countries to solve a number of complex problems. For example, we propose to jointly develop immersive education programs. As we know, immersive education is an extremely effective way of teaching and learning, which is a pedagogical approach that uses immersive technologies, includes realistic simulations and scenarios that allow students to apply knowledge and skills in a practical context, Vladimir Khizhnyak noted in his speech.

At the panel discussion «Russia-India-BRICS», Khizhnyak shared the successful experience of SPbPU scientific and educational cooperation within the BRICS framework.

Everyone are able to visit the Polytechnic University’s mount, participate in discussions and negotiations on a wide range of issues of promising formats of scientific and educational Russian-Indian cooperation, especially relevant against the background of Russia’s presidency in BRICS this year.

In the era of a multipolar world, where one of the main players is the association of BRICS+ countries, SPbPU sees cooperation with Indian universities, industrial enterprises and scientific clusters as an opportunity to create sustainable partnerships that promote Russian education, as well as the development of science and technology within the international community. This strategic direction of cooperation opens new horizons for innovative discoveries, research and exchange of experience, which makes it possible to create a future based on mutual understanding, respect and joint work, Dmitry Arseniev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of SPbPU emphasized the importance of supporting and developing friendly and productive relations between SPbPU and Indian partners.

Today, among the 12 partner universities of SPbPU are Indian University of Technology Bombay, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chandigarh University and many others.

Polytechnic University implements joint projects with Indian universities and research centers in the development of new materials and nanotechnologies, information technologies, agriculture, environmental science, waste processing, biotechnologies, etc. For example, Polytechnic University’s researchers participate in such relevant projects for India as creation of new semiconductor devices for power electronics, applicable in power grids, electric cars, high-speed trains; development of modern diamond processing technologies; research on domestication of agricultural crops.
