Staggies new signing with the University of the Highland and Islands

The deal comes after a long history of working closely together, from students at Inverness College UHI designing a new digital match day programme for the club, to collaborations with their sports students and the university’s active health group to develop research on nutritional education initiatives.  This partnership will expand opportunities to work together, expanding collaboration between the university and the football sector.

Dr Iain Morrison, Dean of Students at the University of the Highlands and Islands said:

“As a longstanding season ticket holder and member of the Staggies Army, I know there are many synergies between us. We are both extremely community oriented, are strongly rooted in our region and share a drive to provide opportunities for our people. This formal partnership with the club will allow us to build on our existing activities and unleash the tremendous potential that exists to do more together in the provision of work experience for students, collaborative initiatives for staff, students and players, and the development and delivery of relevant training courses.

“We are looking forward to working closely with Ross County FC, and I will have my boots cleaned and ready for use if called upon, although I think that scenario is highly unlikely!”
