STE Kathua holds Interactive cum informative session for Banquet Hall owners, Hoteliers
KATHUA : As part of ongoing Public outreach Programme, the office of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement (STE), Kathua (HQ- Lakhanpur ) today held an interactive cum informative session with the owners of Banquet Halls and Hotels here.
The programme was held under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Administration and Enforcement Jammu Division, Namrita Dogra and was conducted by Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Kathua, Ranjeet Singh.
During the programme, the hoteliers were made aware about different aspects of taxation besides various issues pertaining to the community were also discussed in detail.
The Hoteliers on the occasion highlighted various issues before the officers. The demanded that the tax rate be reduced from 18 % to 5% and they should be brought under composition scheme. They also asserted that the resorts which are not under GST ambit must also be brought into it.
The programme was attended by Sona Gupta AC , Sandeep Gupta STO, besides the representatives of Sohan Lal Avlon Resorts, Khajuria farms , Saver Resorts , Sodhi resorts, among others also participated in the session.
