STS School, AMU Organises Inter-School Science Exhibition

 

Aligarh : “Science has always been a source of inspiration and innovation and science exhibitions are very important for students to showcase their talent and find solutions for the challenges faced in day to day life”, said Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, DOSE, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), while inaugurating the one day Inter-School Science Exhibition, organized by S.T.S. School, AMU.

As the chief guest of the event he encouraged all the participants to continue exploring the wonders of Science.

The exhibition celebrated India’s G-20 Presidency, which showcased innovative ideas and projects related to the themes, ‘Save Environment’ ‘Energy Conservation’ and to Promote Organic Farming’. The Primary theme of the exhibition ‘Save Environment’ emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices, while ‘Energy Conservation’ focused on finding innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption.

The students from different AMU Schools displayed their innovation and creativity in the form of Working Models, Non-Working Models and Charts.

Prof. Abid Ali Khan, Deputy Director, DOSE was the Guest of Honor. Mrs. Amna Malik, Coordinator, G-20 events was also present on the occasion.

Prof. Anwar Shahzad, Department of Botany, AMU, Dr. Riyaz Ahmad, Associated Professor, Department of Zoology AMU and Mr. Mohammad Zaid Department of Electrical Engineering, AMU, judged the Science Exhibition in junior and senior categories.

The Science Exhibition underscored the importance of collective efforts in addressing environmental challenges and promoting responsible energy use.

Mr Faisal Nafis, Coordinator, Organizing Committee, G-20 events for AMU Schools presented the report of Inter and Intra School programmes held at different schools.

Mrs. Naushin Fatma welcomed the guests.

Dr. Alamgir, Principal AMU City Girls School (Qazi Para), Mrs. Samina, Principal, AMU ABK High School (Boys), Dr. Saba Hasan, Vice-Principal, AMU ABK High School (Girls), Mrs. Umra Zaheer, Superintendent, Abdullah School also attended the event.

Mr. Zulfikar Ali, Mrs. Naushin Fatma, Mrs. Sufia Khan, Mrs. Alema Haseen, Mrs. Haleema Begum, Mr. Mohd. Rehman, Mr. Shahnawaz Zameer and Mr. Rizwan Ahmad guided the students for preparation of Working Models, Non-Working Models and Charts.

Mr. Mohd Tariq, Incharge Science Exhibition, Dr. Tanweer Husain Khan, Dr. Naseem Ahmad, Dr. Ilyas Miyan, Mr. Syed Ikram Haider Jafri were present during the Exhibition. Mrs. Nasreen Fatima, Cultural Coordinator, Mrs. Samina Yusuf Khan, Mr. Mudassir Ali Rizvi, Mrs. S. Fatima Hashmi, Mrs. Naziya Siyar Shamim, Mr. Farhan Habib, Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan, Mrs. Roohi Aslam, Mr. Mohammad Asim, Mr. Mohd Mansoor Khan and Mr. Asif Ahmed Siddiqui played a pivotal role in arrangements, decoration and the smooth conduct of the programme. Mrs. Ghazala Tanvir conducted the programme.
