Students from Brunel University and University of Kent, UK participate in two week long Amity-India Immersion Programme
New Delhi: As part of a unique two week long Amity-India Immersion Programme, 8 students from Brunel University and 3 from University of Kent, UK pursuing different programmes have come for a study tour to Amity University from 28 August to 09 September, 2017 during which they will gain an insight into Indian Education System and Culture.
These students will also be familiarized with topics such as Indian Economy and Business Environment, Growth of Indian Science & Technology, Indian History & Religion, Pitfalls and Opportunities of Doing Business in India, Indian Style of Management with Concentration on Self-Awareness, Stress Management Meditation and Yoga. Students would also stay with Indian families to experience the Indian way of life.
Dr. Sean Holmes, Vice Dean (International), College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences, Ms. Leina Shi, International Strategy Manager, Brunel University, UK and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Amity Group Vice Chancellor inaugurated the Programme.
Welcoming the students to India and Amity, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh briefed them that India is a vast country with diverse culture, traditions, customs and languages. He informed students that Amity India Immersion Program centers on the special qualities, which are uniquely Indian, and includes exposure to Indian heritage and culture, traditions and traditional wisdom, Indian spiritualism, the Indian nation and its people, religion, technology and development He familiarized students with Amity University, Amity Innovation Incubator and the way this University promoting entrepreneurship skills amongst the students, the achievements of Amity International Business School and other Institutes of Amity.
Addressing the students, Dr. Sean Holmes, Vice Dean (International), College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences, Brunel University, UK encouraged them to enjoy the warm welcome and hospitality of Amitians and Indians and motivated them to take some of it back to European culture.He advised them to take advantage of exposure in India and spread the values of peace and affinity that India also stands for.
Sharing her views one of the students from Brunel University, UK- Ms. Karolina Gaizauskaite said that she is impressed with the rich culture, different religions and economy of India is looking forward to the cross cultural exchanges with the students and people of India which will help her nurture global outlook.
