Bhopal : Online competitions are being organized by the Culture department to generate consciousness among youth, students and children of the state towards freedom struggle. The photo quiz and slogan writing competitions will be held for students of class IXth to XIIth as well as students of under graduation and post graduation courses. Similarly, in other categories, poetry writing competition and musical competition of patriotic poetry composition will be organized. Entries to participate in the competitions can be sent to mp.mygov.in till August 10, 2020.
Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur informed that in the competitions being organized by the department, prizes worth Rs. One lakh 79 thousand will be distributed among the 48 winners. In the Identify the photo contest, first, second and third prizes of Rs 5 thousand, Rs 3 thousand, two prizes carrying Rs one thousand each and 5 prizes of Rs. 500 each respectively will be presented to the winners. Total 16 prizes, 8 to collegiate students and 8 to school students will be given. Likewise, in the inspirational slogan writing competition focusing freedom, prizes carrying Rs. 5 thousand, 3 thousand and One thousand will be given to first, second and third winner respectively besides 5 prizes of Rs. 500 each will also be given. There will 8 prizes each for collegiate and school students.
In the same order, the winners of motivational slogan writing competition will get first, second and third prizes carrying Rs. 10 thousand, Rs. 5 thousand and Rs. 3 thousand respectively and 5 prizes of Rs. One thousand each along with certificates. In this competition, the residents of Madhya Pradesh aged 35 years as of January 01, 2020 can take part. Under the solo or group musical performance competition, prizes of Rs 50 thousand, Rs 25 thousand and Rs 10 thousand will be given to the first, second and third winner and 5 prizes carrying Rs 5 thousand each will be awarded to the winners for original patriotic composition or compositions based on original composition prior to the year 1947.
Books focusing freedom struggle and audio CD of patriotic songs will also be presented to the winners of all the above mentioned categories.
