Students of Bal Ashram enlighten masses on COVID-19 through colourful paintings

 

JAMMU : As a part of fortnight long activity calendar for awareness on COVID-19 being organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations, a Painting Competition was today held here at Bal Ashram Ambphala on the theme “What have we learned so far in situation of COVID-19”.

As many as 41 students of Bal Ashram participated and exhibited their skills by expressing their ideas on the COVID-19 appropriate behavior, preventive measures and its overall impact on the society, through paintings and beautifully written slogans. The students expressed their views freely on this dreaded virus and created awareness through colours and brushes.

Youth Information Officer, Jammu, Imran Kataria, who was chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of children and encouraged them to hone their skills further. The teachers of the Bal Ashram and prominent civil society members were also present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned here that the Information Department is organizing the fortnight long awareness programmes on COVID-19 through different mediums from 16th August to 31st August, 2021 at different places.

During the course of this special and unique programme, events like painting competitions, slogan writings, skits by school children and folk artists are being organised to create awareness amongst general masses about the COVID—19 virus and its preventive measures.

On 31st August which is the concluding day, the experts will announce the awards for the participants of different events.
