Students – winners of the tile art competition
The Kami Stove Center held a creative competition “Stove Tiles”, in which students from the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU took part.
The City na Onego Charitable Foundation and the Kami Stove Center represented by its director Sergei Ivanovich Seryogin held a creative competition for the design and manufacture of tiles.
Tiles are ceramic tiles used for facing fireplaces, stoves, walls. An important technical feature of the tiles is the presence of an open box on the back side – a rump used for fixing in masonry. On the front side, the tiles can be either smooth or embossed, covered with white or colored glaze or unglazed.
Under the guidance of Elena Nikolaevna Timofeeva, a teacher in ceramics and sculpture of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU, many students took part in this interesting competition. As a result, great work has turned out.
“City on Onego” and Kami Center chose the winners. The first place was awarded to Ekaterina Boronina (613 gr.). The second place was taken by Anna Krasikova (613 gr.), The third place – Daria Rukavichnikova (635 gr.). The honorable mention went to Anton Matveev (613 gr.). The winners were awarded with prizes. The organizers noted the talent and creativity of the students who took part in the competition.
