Successful Conclusion of Orientation Program 2024 at XITE Gamharia

 

Gamharia  – The Orientation Program 2024 at XITE Gamharia, held from July 23rd to July 30th, was a comprehensive and engaging experience that left a lasting positive impact on both students and facilitators. High attendance throughout the seven days reflected the enthusiasm and eagerness of the incoming students to embark on their academic journey. The program successfully fulfilled its objective of helping students feel at home while providing valuable insights and resources for a successful college experience.

 

The program commenced with a warm welcome from the Principal, Dr. Fr. E. A. Francis, SJ, who addressed the new students, setting a positive tone for the week. Each day was meticulously planned to include a mix of academic sessions, interactive activities and skill-building workshops.

 

Day 1 featured a welcome session, an introduction to the journey of XITE, a multi-religion prayer, a quiz and a session on time management by Prof. Swati Singh.

 

Day 2 included an ice-breaking session by Mr. Tony Castelton, a session on the responsible use of IT by Shraddha Agarwal, an IIM Indore alumn and a talent hunt showcasing fitness and art.

 

Day 3 focused on mastering communication with Prof. Akinchan Xaxa, an insightful talk on recent industrial trends by Mr. Ranjot Singh, Chairman of CII Jharkhand and Mr. Prabhat Kumar, State Head of CII Jharkhand, followed by a talent hunt featuring drama and open mic performances.

 

Day 4 saw an alumni talk by Akshit Anand and an energetic Zumba session led by Zin Usha Gope and Zin Deepshikha.

 

Day 5 was dedicated to social responsibility with a session on “Giving Back to Society” by Mr. Amit Sinha, Founder of Koru Foundation and a talent hunt focused on dance and music.

 

Day 6 featured a session on Moral Rearmament by Mr. Gurupada Mahato from TSF, emphasizing ethical and moral values.

 

The orientation week culminated in a grand celebration of Loyola Day on July 30th, marked by mesmerizing cultural performances by the students under the guidance of Prof. Akinchan Xaxa and Dr. Radha Mahali. The celebration honored the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, fostering a sense of community and empowerment among the students.

 

A heartfelt vote of thanks was extended to all participants and facilitators, expressing gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the program’s success. With this orientation, XITE laid a strong foundation for the incoming batch of students, fostering a sense of community and empowerment that will undoubtedly contribute to their overall growth and success in the institution.
