Summer Athletics coaching camp concludes

ALIGARH : The summer coaching camp organized by the Athletics Club, Aligarh Muslim University concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.

Giving away certificates of participation to the students, the chief guest, Prof Shamim Ahmed, Department of TB and Chest Diseases highlighted the importance of physical activity in daily life and urged the students to make it a hobby to participate in some sports for healthy well being.

Earlier, Prof Zamirullah Khan, President, Athletics Club welcomed the guests. He said that 40 students from different schools participated in the camp and learned the nuances of various Athletics events, including running, jumping, throwing, etc.

Prof Amjad Ali Rizvi, Secretary, University Games Committee extended a vote of thanks and motivated the participants to carry on with physical activities.

Mr Naved Ahmad conducted the programme.
