“Summer Internship Project (SIP) Sensitization Workshop” Organized at IMS Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: IMS Ghaziabad organized a “Summer Internship Project (SIP) Sensitization Workshop” for PGDM Batch 2021-23 on March 11, 2022. The critical session was conceptualized under the vision of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad for enhancing the effectiveness of the learning experience of the students in their forthcoming Summer Internships.

 

Speaking on the occasion, she highlighted the significance of the term ‘sensitization’ in terms of giving the young minds a sense of purpose as to why they will be doing the SIP. Referring to Summer Internship as a ‘milestone’, she emphasized that students must try to draw maximum opportunities by converting their SIP into PPO and climbing up the corporate ladder.

 

The Expert Speaker for the session was Dr. Manoj Pant, Associate Professor, BIMTECH, who advised the budding managers to take up their summer internships with a positive attitude coupled with the right blend of confidence and humility. Citing various examples from the corporate, he addressed the queries of the students in the interactive session.

 

Suggestive feedback given by the corporate recruiters was shared with the students by Mr. Asjad Iqbal, Head, Corporate Resource Centre. Students were also apprised with the guidelines, assessment, timelines as well as probable topics for project work in various functional domains. The session, compered by Suparna Pal & Mayank Joshi and coordinated by Dr. Ajay Patel & Dr. Abhishek Bhushan Singhal was instrumental in generating confidence amongst the students and inspiring them to enthusiastically take up the upcoming summer internships.
