Suncity School hosts 12th Annual Fiesta ‘Saturnalia’ 2019

Gurugram: Suncity School, sector- 54 organised the 12th edition of its Annual Extravaganza ‘Saturnalia’ amidst dazzling lights, rocking music and breathtaking performances. The event was attended by eminent dignitaries like Dr. Sarvesh Naidu, Director, Pathways School, Mr. Laxmi Narain Goel, Managing Trustee, Suncity Schools, Mr. Ankit Goel, Chairman, Suncity Schools, Mrs Rupa Chakravarty, Director, Suncity Schools.

The program highlighted the school’s theme for the year, ‘Nurture Nature’, which in today’s times is of utmost significance. Emanated with a welcome speech by the Chairman, Mr. Ankit Goel who enhanced the glory of the function and need for progressive education.

The event commenced on a melodious note with Bahar, the rendition of Raag Ahir Bhairav by the school orchestra. The play in English portrayed the importance of being “Simple and Good” in today’s day and time, especially with the deteriorating social and moral values.

The Hindi play – Antogathwa drew attention to the growing mechanization of the world where the human emotions and values are devoid of its sensitivity to nature, thus losing its touch with peace and humanity. The mesmerizing finale, Magnum Opus- ‘Conglomerate’ had students performing aerial acts and stunts to the pulsating beats of techno music.

On this special occasion Director Rupa Chakravarty presented her annual report in a prologue that had the audio visual showcased the various international and national achievements of the school in academics, co-curricular and sports.

Mihika Deshpande (AIR 3 in Grade X CBSE 2019) and Ayush Verma (Science Topper of the State Grade XII CBSE 2019) were also felicitated among the other prize winners.

The event was a grand success and the achievement of the students was appreciated by one and all.
