Mumbai : Sunstone, one of India’s leading higher education start-ups with a presence across 50+ institutions in 35 cities, further gears up to equip students with additional skills to enhance employability. Opening doors to a broader spectrum of career opportunities, the company, in collaboration with Oracle, will provide five tech and management certifications to students. The certification courses will be available to UG and PG students of Sunstone.
Oracle will provide courses using a mix of online resources and live lectures. This offers students a gateway to diverse career prospects, encompassing roles like Java Developer, Data Scientist, Cloud Application Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst, and more. Furthermore, a recent study highlights an increase in hiring prospects for freshers during the latter half of 2023, showcasing a rise from 62% in HY1 to 65% in HY2. In light of these developments, students will become more aware of the prevailing industry requisites and can proactively work towards adding additional skills to their foundational curriculum.
Commenting upon the partnership Ankur Jain, Co-founder and CBO of Sunstone said, “At Sunstone, we acknowledge that the nature of work has significantly changed. The days of rigid specialization, in which employees held distinct responsibilities focused on singular tasks or areas, are long gone. Recruiters today are searching for professionals who are embracing a variety of responsibilities and developing a flexible skill set. Recognizing these transformations, we have endeavoured to help students acquire the in-demand skills they need.”
“We are glad to partner with Oracle to offer academic certifications that empower students with practical skills that are highly sought after by employers. Our partnership with Oracle perfectly aligns with our objective of providing them with opportunities to enhance their qualifications beyond the traditional curriculum. This partnership empowers students to deepen their expertise in specific fields or explore entirely new domains,” he added.
According to a recent report by the World Economic Forum, a blend of technical, social, and emotional skills will be essential for most jobs by 2025. This implies that students will have to move beyond the traditional curriculum.
These certifications include a variety of subjects, including Java Development on Oracle Cloud, Machine Learning on Oracle Cloud, Application Development on Oracle Cloud, and Business Intelligence on Oracle Cloud. Each certification offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and practical insights that are directly applicable in today’s dynamic job market. With these certifications, students will be able to validate their proficiency and stand out to potential employers.
