Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2022; JK pavilion attracts thousands of visitors on day 2

 

NEW DELHI : Day 2 of high profile 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2022 witnessed an overwhelming participation of thousands of visitors who evinced keen interest in the excellently decorated JK pavilion presenting diverse art, culture and cuisines of the UT.

The pavilion, first of its kind, has exhibited perfect replica of the heritage structures of J&K including Houseboat, Cheshmashahie gate, Khanqa e Moulah, Bache Darwaza and Mubarak Mandi Jammu, candidly showcasing the diversity and cultural chemistry of Jammu and Kashmir.

The J&K Tourism Department has established elaborate information counters besides displaying the adventure equipments in one corner of the JK pavilion which has become an eye catcher for the visitors who are queuing up to get their turn for a selfie shot in front of the houseboat, apna ghar and adventure tourism display.

The Tourism team, which comprises of officers from SKICC, Tourism department and JKTDC, are delivering complete and deep information to the visitors about the destination and its variety of tourism products and services. The JKTDC has also installed an impressive food pavilion of authentic cuisines priced economically which is receiving huge rush of food lovers.

Pertinently, the mela was inaugurated yesterday evening by a galaxy of dignitaries including Governor and Chief Minister of Haryana.
