Suriname Ambassador Visits KISS

Bhubaneswar: Aashna W.R.Kanhai, Ambassador of Republic of Suriname visited KIIT University and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences(KISS) on Saturday. She visited all the campuses of KIIT and various departments of KISS. On this occasion she addressed more than 25 thousand students of KISS. She said, the visit to KISS has made me cry. I have shocked in the most positive manner. I have never seen thousands of children together at one place. There are a lot of similarities between Odisha and Suriname,said Ms. Kanhai. Suriname is a small country. There are also tribals in Suriname. She also said,education is very important for the upliftment of the tribals. Every country of the world should execute KISS model to eradicate poverty through education,she added. Among others R.N.Dash,Secretary, KIIT and KISS and other officials of KISS were also present. Ms. Kanhai also discussed with Dr. Achyuta samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS about KISS model.
