Swachhta campaign launched

ALIGARH : The 1/8 Company and 2/8 Company of 8 UP Battalion, National Cadet Corps, Aligarh Muslim University launched a 14-day Swachhta campaign with a rally marking the national campaigns like river cleaning and park cleaning.

The Swachhta campaign will comprise events like rallies, awareness lectures, canal/Nadi Safai Abhiyan, statue cleaning drive and park Safai Abhiyan.

In a lecture, Commanding Officer, 8 UP Battalion, Col. R.K. Sagwan highlighted the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. He urged the NCC cadets to bear the additional responsibility of creating awareness in the common masses regarding cleanliness.

Coy Commander, 1/8 Company Lt. Farooq A. Dar and Coy Commander 2/8 Company Lt. Najaf Ali Khan also addressed the occasion.
