Swachhta drive held across district Ramban under “Clean India” programme

RAMBAN : District Administration Ramban has intensified sanitation drive across the district under “Clean India” Programme, a month long cleanliness and sanitation initiative which was launched by the Government to ensure cleanliness of towns, villages, markets and other institutions with the participation of all concerned and general public by promoting ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ slogan.

Youth Services and Sports Department Ramban, today conducted a cleanliness drive at Educational Zone Ukhral in which various officers and officials of the department participated in making the area neat and clean besides taking out awareness rallies which pass through the Ukhral market.

Similar drive was also conducted by the Rural Development Department along with PRIs.

The participants collected the single-use plastic bags & other waste materials during the drive besides sensitizing the shopkeepers and vendors about the harmful effects of single-use plastic and the designated sanitation team showed their full dedication towards the assignment.
