Swachhta Pakhwada workshop held

Aligarh: As part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) drive in the university, the Sarojini Naidu Hall of residence for girls organized a workshop on “Self-sustainable garbage disposal”.

Resource person, Ms Preeti Maheshwari, Brand Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission, Aligarh Nagar Nigam, delineated effective means of waste disposal and composting of wet waste in her interactive meeting with MTS housekeeping staff of the hall.

Prof Seema Hakim, Provost, remarked that majority of the people has callous attitude towards waste disposal which may otherwise serve as a self-sustaining valuable natural resource, providing a healthy environment.

Dr Saba Khan, non-resident warden was the convener of the workshop.
