SWD holds Nasha Mukht Bharat campaign in educational institutes of Thathri

Doda: Social Welfare Department is organising series of awareness programs under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan across the district to generate awareness among the youth about the hazardous effects of drug menace.

As part of the campaign, the department today organised series of awareness program in various educational institutions of Thathri sub division including Government Girls Hr Sec School and Government Boys Hr Sec School in Thathri twon, and Government High School Barshala.

During the program, the speakers highlighted the hazards of drug menace and how it is affecting the future generation of the country.

The officials urged the students and teachers to constitute joint Committees in their schools, to report the drug abuse cases, if any in their respective areas to the concerned authorities for immediate action.

The program was conducted under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Doda, Zubair Ahmed Lone.

Among others present at the program were Principal Government Girls Hr Sec School Thathri, Bikram Singh; TSWO Touseef Zargar, besides other officials.
