SWD Kishtwar organises Capacity Building Training Programme on Drug Demand Reduction

KISHTWAR : Social Welfare Department Kishtwar Organised a Capacity Building training programme on Drug demand Reduction under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in BDO Office Gulabgarh Paddar.

The training programme was attended by the PRI Members, Anganwari Workers, Asha Workers, Teachers, Students, and Representatives from Different departments and NGOs.

The Programme started with the Welcome addresses of the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Paddar. He briefed the participants that the main objective of Capacity Building Programme is to aware the participants about the dangerous effects of substance use and to find out the ways to eradicate this menace from Society.

Resource persons briefed the participants regarding Identification, Treatment, Aftercare, Rehabilitation and Social Integration of Substance Dependents. They informed the participants about symptoms, early signs, effects of drugs, precautionary measures and treatment facilities for drug users.

The Programme concluded a pledge by the participants to wean away youths and others from Drugs and to make Society Drugs Free.
