Swinburne University Hosts TEDx Event, Seeks Distinguished Alumni Nominations
Swinburne will be hosting its first TEDxSwinburne event later this year.
TEDx is an international community which celebrates locally-driven ideas on a global stage. Over the last couple of decades, the brand has grown globally as a video platform for ideas worth spreading.
To be held on Thursday 12 September 2024, this event will showcase Swinburne’s world class innovation and ideas from some of Australia’s brightest minds, including Swinburne alumni.
Swinburne Director of Advancement, Luke Bell, celebrates the event as an opportunity for Swinburne experts to propel their work across a global stage.
“We are thrilled to bring TEDx to Swinburne as a way of engaging our alumni leaders and the Swinburne community. The day will see a range of Swinburne’s brightest thinkers and innovators inspire the broader community.”
Recognising distinguished alumni
Swinburne will also be launching its Alumni Leaders Network as a part of the event. The network will amplify the achievements of distinguished alumni leaders and recognise their contribution towards realising Swinburne’s vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world.
“We will be celebrating alumni leaders who demonstrate exceptional qualities in professional excellence, community impact, media recognition, contribution to advancements and/or business success.”
“By working together with the broader Swinburne community, we will bring TEDxSwinburne to life to propel exciting ideas across the globe.” Luke Bell said.
