Take part in the competition “Reading the runes of the epic” Kalevala “
Students of universities, colleges, students of secondary schools from the age of 12, residents of the Republic of Karelia, students of secondary schools and vocational educational institutions of Finland can take part in the competition.
Videos of artistic reading of excerpts from the epic “Kalevala” in Karelian, Vepsian, Finnish languages are accepted until February 22, 2021.
The competition is held in three categories:
Runes in the Karelian language (Livvik dialect, actually the Karelian dialect);
Runes in Vepsian language;
Runes in Finnish.
The winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas, certificates, prizes.
The competition is dedicated to the Year of Karelian Runes in the Republic of Karelia and will be held for the third time in 2021.
The organizers of the competition are the Department of Baltic-Finnish Philology of the Institute of Philology of PetrSU, the Scientific Library of PetrSU, the Primary Trade Union Organization of PetrSU students. The competition partner is the Ministry of National and Regional Policy of the Republic of Karelia.
