Talent register developed to providing employment and self-employment opportunities: CM
Sjimla: The state government has developed a talent register for talent mapping of the people who have come back to the state from various parts of the country so that they could be provided employment and self-employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated this while addressing the virtual rallies of BJP Mandal of Bilaspur Sadar in Bilaspur district, Chintpurni BJP Mandal of Una district and Banjar BJP Mandal of Kullu district through video conferencing from here today.
He said that the people of the country and state were fortunate to have a strong leadership in form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to guide the nation in this time of crisis. It was due to his timely and prompt decision that the number of deaths in India were about 9100, as compared to about 4.30 lakh deaths reported in about 15 most severely affected countries of the world with a total population of about 142 crore. He said that situation in Himachal Pradesh was also under control as there were about 186 active Corona cases.
The Chief Minister said that although the pace of development has adversely affected due to the Corona epidemic, still the government was striving hard to revive the economy of the state. The state government has constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee and a task force for revival of the economy. He said that the Opposition leaders were making baseless and false allegations against the state government in a desperate attempt to remain in news. There was no place of corruption in the state and the government would not hesitate to take action against those who were found guilty, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that in the year 2014, when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country for the first time, he launched a campaign called Digital India. It was due to this vision of the Prime Minister that even in the present time of Carona epidemic, we are able to interact with each other through the modern technology.
The Chief Minister said that even the Prime Minister has appreciated the steps taken by the Himachal government to tackle Corona virus. The initiatives of the state government have also been acknowledge by an independent agency. He said that the people of the State need not to worry as all the Corona positive people were either under institutional quarantine or home quarantine. No one coming from other states was being allowed to go home, he added.
He said that the state government had spend about Rs. 15 crore on providing relief to the needy and bringing back about two lakh people stranded in various parts of the country. On the other hand, the State Congress party has informed its Central high command that they have spent Rs 12 crore on providing masks and food to the needy. They should answer where they spent this money as they have done nothing in the state.
The Chief Minister said that about 1.36 lakh gas connections were provided free-of-cost and 2.76 lakh gas connections were provided under the ‘Grihini Suvidha Yojna’ in the state. Rs. 3000 were being provided to each family that have patient with critical illness. He said that an amount of Rs. 2000 each have been transferred to the accounts of over 8.74 lakh farmers of the State under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna.
Referring to the development of Bilaspur district, the Chief Minister said that this district was fortunate to have its son of the soil Jagat Prakash Nadda heading BJP, the biggest political party of the world. The people of Bilaspur Vidhan Sabha area did a commendable work in preparing and distributing about 45,000 face masks to the people. He thanked the people of the area for providing Rs. 30 lakh in CM-COVID fund and Rs. 10 lakh in PM CAREs.
While referring to development of Chintpurni Vidhan Sabha area, the Chief Minister said that Rs. 26.92 crore have been provided under Jan Jivan Mission and Rs. 27 crore under flood control for the constituency. He said that Rs. 21 crore were being spent on construction of Nandpur-Maidi road.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Banjar area of Kullu district was poised to emerge as a model constituency of the state. The work has been started for construction of building of government degree college Gadagushain and Rs. 100 crore were being spent on construction of 26 roads under the PMGSY in the area.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar also shared his views on the occasion.
MLA Bilaspur Sadar Subhash Thakur, MLA Chintpurni Balbir Singh and MLA Banjar Surender Shourie detailed various developmental demands of their respective areas.
