Talk on Government Aid and Support for Start-ups

Aligarh : Syed Wasiul Abbas (Director, BYS Skills Pvt Ltd and Nodal Officer, UPICA, Government of Uttar Pradesh) explained why the Government of India’s thrust on ‘Make in India’ is the need of the hour, considering the fast-paced technological density, transformation and digital adoption happening across the globe.

He was delivering a talk on ‘Government Aid and Support for Start-ups in India: Opportunities and Prospects’ at the Frank and Debbie Islam Entrepreneurship Incubation Center (FDIEIC), Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

“The Government funding for startups is creating a favourable ecosystem to ensure a perfect ambience for budding entrepreneurs. It is empowering different ventures by spurring the desire for growth and innovation among the startups and creating a more conducive atmosphere for the implementation of projects”, said Abbas.

In the interaction section with the students, he called the students to register on the Start Up India website where they can float ideas to seek attention of investors.

Abbas also spoke on various Government of India schemes providing loans, grants, corpus funds and subsidies to start-ups.

Prof Jamal A Farooquie (Chairman, Department of Business Administration) felicitated the guest speaker.

In the welcome address, Dr Lamay Bin Sabir discussed the importance of getting the right funding for starting ventures and pressed the students to put their best efforts into becoming entrepreneurs.

Maaz Hussain (Manager, Incubation Center) gave the introductory remarks and Usba Khan extended the vote of thanks.
