Anantnag: The District Administration Anantnag, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Piyush Singla, in collaboration with Health Department today started the targeted vaccination drive for the prospective beneficiaries in age group 18-45 years who have been identified after proper risk assessment owing to their susceptibility and vulnerability to the infection.

The process commenced smoothly and 10 special vaccination sites were established across the district where 546 people from service providers associated with tourism, media persons, officials of municipalities, shopkeepers, salesmen and other eligible beneficiaries of 18-45 years received their first vaccine dose.

The centres were established at accessible destinations so the beneficiaries could easily approach these centres and get vaccinated.
