CBIP runs a Centre of Excellence (COE) for skill development in the power sector, while Tata Power has four skill development institutes in Mumbai, Trombay, Maithon – Dhanbad, (Jharkhand), and Mundra (Gujarat), which aim to bridge the existing skill gap in the power sector.

Tata Power, in return, will provide guidance to CBIP in setting up labs and other required infrastructure for upgrading the COE. The MoU with CBIP is an endeavour to provide focused skill training to our youth, thereby increasing their employability in the power sector. Skill development is an essential ingredient for India’s future economic growth as the country transforms itself into an internationally competitive economy. As always, it is our commitment to work in line with prime minister’s vision to equip youth with relevant employable skills and make India the skill capital of the world.”
