Tata Steel GDQ Celebrated Van Mahostava 2018 At Skvp High School, Tunmura

Tunmura: TSRDS Gomardih observed Van Mahostava 2018 program at Sargu Kishan Vidya Pitha (SKVP) High school in Tunmura on dated 5th July 2018.
On the occasion organized awareness camping for conservation of forest among the school children’s. The main aim of the celebration is to encourage to the peoples to become more aware and enthusiastic about environment conservation and planted trees or saplings in around their homes, offices, school and our periphery villages.
During this month Tata Steel GDQ management has planned to plant 5000 saplings in our periphery areas. So that the greenery in this area is maintained and the loss occurred due to death of old and uprooted trees is compensated.
“The Van Mahotsava festival of tree is a beautiful initiative to save the environment to which we owe lots” said by Mr Ajit Horo, President Union Tata Steel GDQ as a chief guest on the occasion.
Mr Sanjay Sardar Unit Head TSRDS said “Plants are the heart of nature and destroying them leads to destruction of nature. It is every one responsible to save the nature”.
On the occasion 250 above students, teachers, and Tata steel official planted 100 tree saplings on the school campus. Where TSRDS official Subrate chakroborty, Gopal Ghosh , Anuranjan Toppo and teachers Amresh Sahoo, Kiran Ekka, Priyadanshini padlu, Rameswar Lakra, Baldev patel, Romancho Tandia, Snehalata Patel, Manabhangi Naik, Monalisha Jena and school president Janmajay Lakra were participated.
The name Van Mahotsava means the festival of trees it began in July 1947 after a flourishing trees planting drive was undertaken in Delhi. In which national leader like Dr Rajandra Prasad & Jawaharlal Nehru participated. The festival was simultaneously celebrated in a no of state in India.
