TBIF-IIT Ropar and Dron Digital Services sign MOU for developing business in field of IT services

Ropar: Technology Business Incubator Foundation-IIT Ropar (TBIF-IIT), has signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Dron Digital services Pvt. Ltd. to start their working office from the premises of IIT Ropar. Dron has developed customized and cost-effective web-based software for managing organizations like colleges, schools, retailers, supermarkets according to the customer’s needs. They are planning to expand soon and reach out to pan India. This collaboration will help in organizations to manage their institutions in a better way and motivating students of IIT Ropar to grow their own startups with the opportunities provided by TBIF-IIT Ropar.

Started with a vision to digitalize the management structure of educational and commercial organizations and eradicating outdated methods and with the mission of bringing change in data management and analytic techniques, students with the help of TBIF-IIT Ropar took a step forward and laid the foundation of Dron Digital Services Pvt. Ltd. In March 2017.

Prof. Sarit K. Das, Chairman Board of Directors TBIF-IIT Ropar, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Director TBIF-IIT Ropar and Dr. Nitin Auluck, Associate professor at Department of Computer Science Engineering at IIT Ropar has always helped the Dron team by providing financial support and the required infrastructure. By signing the MOU, Dron can use the provided infrastructure of IIT Ropar for their Business activities.

Dron Team has also developed their own Biometric machines with real time data modifications and extended its accessibility using Cloud computing at a very affordable price that can be embedded with their software. Hardware can direct the real-time changes to servers and data can be processed according to the needs of customers with internet connectivity. Dron has plans of making more such products in coming years. In coming three years Dron look themselves in the list of leading ERP enterprises.
