Teachers’ Day Celebrated Online Across Amity University and Amity Schools

New Delhi: Resonating with the thoughts shared by Prime Minister Modi in the backdrop of NEP 2020 that “When a Teacher learns, a nation leads” Teachers’ Day Celebrations were organized across Amity University and Amity Schools.

Recognizing the crucial role teachers play as mentor, coach and friends, students expressed their gratitude and respect towards their Gurus through various thought-provoking activities.

2347 Principals, Teachers, and consultants from Amity Schools across the globe (Amsterdam, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, & Singapore) including AICE, Amitasha, Amiown, ACERT gathered online to pay their respect to their mentor and guide Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group of Institution and Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools.

Principals shared the various achievements of their students owing to the visionary and thought-provoking leadership of the Founder President and Chairperson that has led Amity Universe to greater heights with their value-based education and global vision.

Dr. Ashok K. Chuahan shared his illustrious and inspiring journey with the gathering and his respect for the teachers that drive the vision of the nation by honing the minds of the upcoming generation. He averred that God wants people to study well, earn well and do everything to help the society globally and that can be done the best by the teachers. Dr. Chauhan added that he aimed at building schools that are different in vision, mission, and outlook. He further stressed on attacking the opportunities provided by COVID though his ATOMIC (Attack the Opportunities and Monitor the Implementation and Compliance) Mission to transform the world.

Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan thanked the teachers for motivating her and Founder President for his vision for creating Amity. She added that Covid 19 has provided an opportunity to meet people from across the globe, made people tech-friendly and been a blessing in disguise. She added that teachers are very powerful as they can take a child to any level & can make a child reach great heights and instill humility, kindness in them. She further stated that ideas, clarity of thought and compassion should be present in each child.

At the university level, Amity Institute of Public policy celebrated Teachers’ Day by organising an informal session with the students. A TED talk video on “Value of Teacher” was played for the students who shared their feeling of belongingness that they hold for their guardians.
Teacher’s day celebration by Amity Institute of Technology (AIT) saw Prof (Dr.) Ravi Prakash sharing his thoughts on this day and his memories of being a Teacher over the last 40 years. He also conveyed the words of encouragement and his best wishes for the students of AIT. Prof. Vivek Kumar, HOD – Automobile also gave his thoughts on the Teachers’ day through a short story followed by song and poetry by students.

Amity Institute of Marine Science and Technology (AIMST) celebrated the day along with faculties of AIMST, AIB, AIGRS and AIMB with students thanking their mentors through songs and playing instruments.

Many students of Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences participated in the online celebration of honouring their mentors and created an emotional aura by their poems, shayaries, gazals and experiences. Students from Amity Institute of Nanotechnology (AINT) shared their experiences of their ideal teachers based on the theme “My Teacher, My Hero”. The student club committee of Amity Institute of Microbial Technology (AIMT) also showcased a beautiful video as a gratitude towards faculty members. Students of Amity Business School too commemorated the occasion though various games and cultural activities.

Amity International Business School on Teachers’ Day organized a full day Online Celebration. Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities along with Prof. Bhawna Kumar, Vice President, RBEF, Amity Education Group, Dr. (Col.) Sharad Khattar, Head of the Departments and all faculty members took the Oath to provide best online mentoring besides taking regular classes. Students of PG and UG Courses presented a cultural bonanza with their special performances to express gratitude towards faculty and Group Vice Chancellor Sir. This was followed by Discussion Session on New Education Policy announced by Government.
