Team Conquerors from IIM Bangalore is the winner at Airtel iCreate 2020
New Delhi: Team Conquerors from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has won the 2020 edition of iCreate – the coveted annual case study contest for business schools organized by Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”). The winning team took home the top prize of Rs 10 lakhs.
Team IIMPact from IIM Bangalore took home the runner’s up prize of Rs 5 lakhs while team Finite Loop from SP Jain, Mumbai won the second runners up prize of Rs 2.5 lakhs. The winning teams also get an opportunity to work with Airtel’s incubation team and experience the product management function of the company.
iCreate has now become a major draw for B-schools given its focus on quality and challenging assignments. The 2020 edition, which spanned three months, saw participation from over 4000 MBA students from India’s top business schools, including the IIMs, ISB, XLRI, TISS, FMS, SP Jain, MDI and IIFT.
iCreate gives participants a rare opportunity to tackle LIVE business problems. This year’s theme was ‘Product Incubation and Innovation’ that aligns with Airtel’s strong focus on bringing digital solutions to the market for the consumer and enterprise segments.
The jury for the Grand Finale, which has 15 teams competing for the top honours, was led by Adarsh Nair- Chief Product and Experience Officer, Airtel. While the competition was tightly fought, the ideas and case analyses presented by the finalist teams drew appreciation from the jury panel. The jury panel felt the ideas were extremely thorough, creative and well researched.
