New Delhi: The Biggest Celebration of Science, Tinkering & Robotics was successfully concluded at Thyagaraj Stadium. It was an event to remember as 250+ teams comprising 1000+ students took part in the course of the event.

Just to give you a scope of this mega event, around 5000 people visited the stadium over the course of two days. More than 600+ students competed in IRC School League Nationals in three different levels – Junior, Middle and Senior split according to the students’ ages.

Among the winners from each level, Team Infinity from the Senior Level were declared the Overall Winners of IRC School League. For their amazing effort, they were rewarded with an International Educational Trip to London.

And how can Avishkaar Makeathon be behind? 101 teams tinkered their own prototypes to create a solution that will help resolve problems plaguing our society. Occupying the outer ring of the stadium, the Makeathon stalls were buzzing with people throughout the event. Visitors checked out the ingenious creations; leaving amazed as Makeathon stole the limelight.

Team Inquisitives from the senior Level were declared the Overall Makeathon Champions and as a reward for their Herculean effort were awarded an International Educational Trip to London.

Tarun Bhalla, Founder & CEO of Avishkaar, spoke on the occasion, “ With each passing year the scope of #CelebrateAvishkaar is getting bigger and bigger. Kids here got to see two of the most exciting competitions live and the response was tremendous. We also set a new world record, organised tons of workshops, put on display a stupendous piece of light and sound show, and had loads of fun. This is Avishkaar – where the participants, their parents, the general audience along with the Avishkaar Team all came together to make this event a huge success. We hope that we managed to inspire a few more kids to give a shot to STEAM education and become future tech enthusiasts.”

A lot went down at #CelebrateAvishkaar as participants and general audiences alike participated in various workshops at Avishkaar Maker Space. From aeromodelling to 3D Printing, kids made a beeline for all the fun activities being run at the zone. The big hit was Mountain Rush (wherein a cycle connected with LED lights was used to race) which drew a huge crowd as kids pedalled their way to glory. Apart from this, there were workshops on AR/VR, electronics and coding, string art, coffee painting, robotics, light it up and more.

But the main highlights of the event for the crowd were the World Record Attempt where the world’s largest logo connected with LED rope lights was created. The kids took to the task enthusiastically and the final result was a sight to behold as a new world record was created. Another major highlight of #CelebrateAvishkaar was ‘Avishkaar Aurora’, this huge dazzling, light show put up by the enterprising Avishkaar team. The crowd sitting in the indoor stadium was enthralled and swaying to the sound and light show.
