Team of B.Tech ME students from CGC Landran wins Rs. 75,000 in National Level Hackathon Competition
A team of Mechanical Engineering (ME) students from Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC)-CGC Landran, has bagged the third prize of Rs. 75,000 in the prestigious SAP iTech Hack Fest 2024, a national-level hackathon competition held at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Competing against more than 100 colleges from across India, Team Rudraksh comprising third year B.Tech-ME students Shivam Pandey, Rohit Singh, Piyush Kumar, Lovenshu led by their mentor Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Chaitanya, brought laurels to CGC Landran with their innovative project – ‘Borewell Rescue Robot’, in the Crowd Sourced Disaster Management category of this national level Hackathon. Their project was judged on parameters including Code & Design, Usability, Innovativeness and Desirability, Demo and Presentation. Hack fest 2024 brought together the brightest minds in engineering and technology from different parts of the country and provided them a great platform to collaborate, innovate and develop ground-breaking solutions to real world problems.
Expressing their happiness, the students said, “Participating in the SAP iTech Hack Fest 2024 was an incredible experience. Our project winning this accolade from among so many others presented by talented teams from all over India, is a matter of great pride for us and has been such a confidence booster. We are grateful to our mentor and all our faculty members at CGC Landran for their steadfast support and guidance.
